Y-PEER Uzbekistan

Youth shares knowledge with Youth! Y-PEER - Youth Peer Education Network initiative, supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), kicked off in Uzbekistan in 2005. Currently, Y-PEER is a network of organizations and volunteers, working in spheres of reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention and other youth related issues. Utilizing the principles of peer-to-peer education, Y-PEER instructors and trainers hold educational events with their peers on volunteer basis. At the moment there are more than 200 active peer educators, 11 focal points and a focal point in charge facilitating the network in Uzbekistan.
